This page explains how to request deletion of your MusLinc account and associated personal data.
1. How to request account deletion (in the app)
1. Open the MusLinc mobile app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile / Account Settings.
3. Open Account Actions (or similar account management screen).
4. Choose Delete Account.
5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Deleting your account from the app is the fastest method. Your profile and chats become unavailable to other members immediately.
2. How to request account deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us from the address linked to your MusLinc account:
support@muslinc.com
Please include:
- Subject line: MusLinc Account Deletion Request
- Your full name
- The email address registered on your MusLinc account
- A short confirmation that you want your account permanently deleted
We will verify ownership of the account and process the request.
3. What is deleted
When you delete your account, MusLinc will remove or anonymise personal data associated with your account from live systems, including:
- Account credentials and profile information
- Application and KYC verification records held for your account
- Profile photos and related uploaded content tied to your account
- Discovery preferences and account settings
- Your visibility to other members (profile and chats no longer appear as an active member)
4. What may be retained (and for how long)
- Soft-delete retention: after you delete your account, we retain certain data for up to 30 days, then permanently purge it from active databases.
- Backup / residual systems: residual copies in backups or logs may remain for up to 90 days, then are overwritten or removed in the normal backup cycle.
- Messages you sent: may remain visible in another member’s chat history labelled as a deleted / former member, to preserve their conversation record, unless removal is required by law or separately requested where legally applicable.
- Legal / safety records: we may retain limited information longer where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or safety investigations (for example reports of serious misconduct).
5. Rejoining MusLinc
After deletion, rejoining requires a new application. Previous account access is not restored after the retention period ends.
